Welcome to LinguaLinQ. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LinguaLinQ platform and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Service

LinguaLinQ provides real-time video translation services across 51 languages. Our service is designed for:

• Personal communication across language barriers
• Professional and business meetings
• Healthcare provider-patient communication
• Legal consultations
• Educational purposes

You agree to use LinguaLinQ only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To use LinguaLinQ, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities under your account.

3. Payment Terms

Pricing

• LinguaLinQ operates on a pay-as-you-go model
• Minutes are purchased in packages ($5, $10, or $20)
• Prices are displayed in USD and include all applicable fees

Minutes Balance

• Purchased minutes never expire
• Minutes are non-transferable between accounts
• Usage is deducted in real-time during sessions

Refunds

• Unused minutes may be refunded within 30 days of purchase
• Refund requests should be sent to billing@lingualinq.ai
• Partially used packages are refunded on a pro-rata basis

Promotional Codes

• Promotional codes are subject to specific terms and conditions
• Codes cannot be combined unless explicitly stated
• We reserve the right to void fraudulently obtained codes

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for illegal activities
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or objectionable content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated systems or bots to access the service
• Record sessions without consent of all parties
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without authorization
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Intellectual Property

Our Property

LinguaLinQ, including its logo, design, software, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our property without permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you transmit through our service. By using LinguaLinQ, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing translation services.

6. Translation Accuracy

While we strive for high accuracy:

• Translations are AI-generated and may contain errors
• We display accuracy confidence scores for transparency
• Critical communications should be verified by human translators
• We are not liable for errors in translation

7. Service Availability

• We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice
• We are not liable for outages beyond our control

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• LinguaLinQ is provided "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party actions or content

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LinguaLinQ harmless from claims arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@lingualinq.ai.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay for services

Upon termination:

• Your access to the service will cease immediately
• Unused minutes may be forfeited if terminated for cause
• Data deletion will follow our Privacy Policy

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation
2. Mediation (if negotiation fails)
3. Binding arbitration under AAA rules (if mediation fails)

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
